I Heart Onsies!

I think my favorite cookie to make is a onsie cookie.  They are so fun and there is so much you can do with them.  The baby shower assortment featured was for "Cess".  She is one of my sorority sister who is having her second child, Grant. A more fitting name for this little guy would be Prince Grant. (if he's anything like his Momma!)  ;)

I had to throw in a little bearkat print here in honor of SHSU!

I LOVE monograms.  I could only do monogram cookies and be happy.

ADPi love.

Grant's nursery is done in shades of blue and brown with a subtle sports theme.

Love these!

Grant had to have his own chic baby carriage.

Cupcakes were made for the shower too.  Chocolate with chocolate butter cream and a chocolate "g".  Did I mention they were chocolate?

And some vanilla for the chocolate haters.

In addition to all of these, I also made 60 carriages for a baby girl shower as well. I should go to sleep now. :)
Cess, I can't wait to meet Grant!  XOXO

Got Milk?

My hubby isn't a "sugar cookie kinda guy" so I whipped up some chocolate chip cookies for him today.  He asks me almost daily about chocolate chip cookies.  He "claims" that all they fed him in the Marine Corps for dessert was sugar cookies, which has turned him into a sugar-cookie-hater.

Don't these make you want to get a big glass of ice cold milk, sit on the couch with your favorite TV show (Glee) and chow down?  Okay, maybe that is what they do to me... ;)  I cannot and will never eat a chocolate chip cookie without a glass of milk.  It goes against everything I believe in.

Mardi Gras Surprise

We celebrated my Dad's birthday with a surprise party, Mardi Gras style.   I whipped up some cookies for the event and they were a huge hit.  I am in love with disco dust (edible glitter)!

I only had cookies cutters for the the fleur de lis cookies so I cut out the mask and faces with a kitchen knife.

I turned a few of my fleur de lises into jester hats.

The Mardi Gras coins had my dad's initials on them.

My sister, Lendi makes this mask look even better!

Woo Hoo!

Eeeeeeeeek!  I can't believe I finally have a blog for my cookies!  I am so excited and nervous and anxious and freaking out!  Can you tell?  I wanted a venue to post pictures of the amazing cookies that I have been making. I now get to talk about the awesome opportunities that friends and family give me to create these edible works of art for the important events in their life.

I won't go back to day 1 with all the cookies I have made since starting just 7 short months ago (check them all out on facebook).  Instead, I will start with cookies from this week.

These little butterflies were created to celebrate life of an amazing woman.  My friend's mother passed away last year and she wanted these for her birthday celebration.

Made especially for the Shenandoah Convention and Visitors Bureau.  They are hosting the 2013 NCAA swimming and diving championship and these were made for the coaches that were in town for competition.

Sweet Kalista celebrated her birthday with these mod monkey cookies.

They were made to coordinate with the cute party supplies found here.

I love making monogram cookies!

Each package contained one monogram and one monkey cookie.

I also made some fab mardi gras cookies but I will do a separate post about those soon.

Thanks so much for checking out the blog!  I am still getting it set up so you will find new things on here when you come back.
