Princesses & Superheros

This weekend I made cupcakes fit for a princess ~ Princess Annemarie.

I totally LOVE making cupcake toppers out of royal icing but man, they are so delicate.  I have to make a ton extra just in case they break which in this case, a lot did.

I made an assortment of cupcakes for this little sweetie with large crowns, tiny crowns, flowers and pearls.

I was also asked for superhero cookies for a superhero dad.  Do you recognize this symbol?  My son knew what it was right away but I had to google it.

This is the the symbol on Flash's belt buckle. Apparently, Flash is in the same superhero group as Batman.  You'd think I'd already be familiar with this since superheros, legos, bugs and dirt consume my life.

LAX

My hubby recently ended his second season of coaching lacrosse. The pics below are from their final game in the playoffs.  I love that these fourth through sixth graders decided to douse their coach with gatorade although they were barely tall enough.  They ended up knocking him in the head.  :)

It was too sweet and too cute!
I made these cookies for the end of the season party.

Congrats to the Klein Young Guns and to my hubby for another great season!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, I shipped these cookies to my mom and grandmother.  It was my first official attempt at the brush embroidery technique that I have seen done by one of my cookie crushes, Ali Bee's Bake Shop.  Now don't go comparing my cookies to hers!  ;)  She is amazing.

Here's to you Mom, Grandma, Donna, Mo and the all of the other wonderful mothers!

As for my Mother's Day, I got to celebrate with my oldest at his school.  The mothers were asked to find their seat by identifying their child's picture drawing.  I think I was the only one that knew which picture was drawn by my kiddo.  I could spot this drawing anywhere!  The same stick figures adorn my walls at work (and my coworkers) and cover our refrigerator.

This is me and Austin.  I am the skinny one.

What a blessing to be his and Jack's Mom.

Holy cow....

...I've been busy!!!!  With work, kids, lacrosse, birthday parties, holidays and cookies...I'm exhausted!!!!!!!  Here are the latest creations.

You will be seeing more of these "P's" on the blog of PaperBox Press soon when Jill unveils the pics from the bridal shower she designed.  I can't wait!

I loved making these bridal shower cookies.  I love small details on cookies.

My friend Joan, from high school wanted to give her fellow teachers some cookies during TAKS week.  Their school mascot is a longhorn so I had to include it. I wanted them to look like a poster that you would see at a school event.

These were actually for my boss who you would never know is 40!

The "little ones" went to the winner of the PaperBox Press giveaway for her daughter's first birthday.

My ADPi sister, Valerie wanted some strawberry cookies for her daughter's 3rd birthday.

I really love how these turned out.

The theme was strawberry shortcake for her party.

Claire wanted animal cookies to match these napkins and plates she had for a baby shower.
I also managed to squeeze in some Mother's Day cookies (pics to come), cookies for the boys' teachers and some karate cookies for sweet Jake.

Phew!
